A showcase for the participating countries, a container of ideas, experiences and stimuli, a platform able to host about five thousand events and 21 million visitors in six months, a review of the cultures and peoples of the world.
An experimental centre where innovation and new technologies have been discussed, where scientific research at the service of nutrition has been at the centre of the discussions of the most important experts from around the world, a great architectural firm in which the minds have been confronted more enlightened and the most futuristic forms.
All this was Expo Milano 2015. This has contributed to make Milan the “city to be”. This great heritage becomes MIND, a science and technology park, a place where to experiment new ways of working, doing research, living, being together and moving.
Through the creation of the Science, Knowledge and Innovation Park, the regeneration project will give new strength to that wave of radical transformation sprouted during Expo.
The development plan gathers the legacy of a large public event and it is set to become, with the support of the new technologies and an area management that combines the strengths of the public and the private sector, the place of experimentation of new forms of urban living, creating the agenda of the worldwide community for sustainability (Sustainable Development Goals).
