Federated Innovation @MIND

What do you do?

In the capacity of Ecosystem Catalyst, a role assigned to Cariplo Factory, we work for Federated Innovation @MIND, a network of enterprises established in the framework of the development of the MIND District. Our task is the management, running, external projection, and development of the operations of this network as a whole.

What are the goals of your commitment?

Our goal is to support the Federated Innovation network so that it can develop innovative projects in the shortest possible time through a new model based on the primary principle “Collaborate to compete” – our motto! We aim for systemic results: what inspires us is precisely the concentric impact that such added value represents, starting from the members of the network, moving through the territory to the country system, and, with some ambition, to Europe.

What role does innovation play in your job?

Innovation is our fast track to pursuing knowledge. However, innovation needs growth, too – an update on how one tends to it. Innovation initiatives resulting from work among members of our ecosystem are the exact synthesis of next-generation innovation processes conceived in pre-competitive fields and possible open fields of public-private collaboration.

Innovation is our fast track to pursuing knowledge.

What added value have you received or would you like to receive from your presence in MIND?

MIND is everything for our work: the test table for initiatives, the place to exchange ideas, the lab of public-private collaboration, the space where we host events and important actors, and our office. This value is today minimally reflected in its great potential.

How do you imagine the future of MIND?

It goes deeper and beyond work per se. MIND is a space that returns to the city in a way that never practically happened with a former Expo area on a global level. It will be a place of opportunity for those who live there and those who pass through it, too. A space on a human scale, an example of sustainability, and a reflection of the resilience of the city of the future. The goal? For places like MIND to be the prototype of a modern polis in Italy and abroad.
